CAS Enzymes from SignalChem Diagnostics

There have been a number of developments in CRISPR in recent years, including identification of further Cas enzymes to further hone the specificity and utilization of this enzyme family. The search is on for further such enzymes to expand the tool box!

CAS System Nucleic Acid Detection Test Strips TS01-CS89

Checking for Cas activation can be a challenge. The inclusion of a reporter oligo can help monitor the Cas activity. There are a few options to measure activity:

These strips detect if Nucleic acid probes, labelled with FAM or FITC AND biotin, have been cleaved by the CAS enzyme. Un-cleaved probes remain at the control line, but any cleaved fragments can continue to the test line, enabling qualitative Cas activity detection.

A fluorophore is conjugated to one end of these nucleic acids and a BHQ (quencher) at the other end. When the appropriate enzyme is active, the reporter is cleaved and the fluorophore recovers, enabling enzyme activity analysis and target detection

Cas12 ssDNA Reporter   CS12-57
Cas12 ssDNA reporter is a single-strand oligo DNA probe with a 6-FAM (Fluorescence) label at the 5' end and a BHQ (quencher) label at the 3' end.

CAS 13 ss RNA Reporter   CS13-57

Single-strand oligo RNA probe with a 6-FAM label at the 5' end and a BHQ label at the 3' end.
