- Streptavidin is a bacterial protein (from Streptomyces avidinii) that has an exceptionally high binding affinity for biotin. B Beta-galactosidase, also called beta-gal or B Beta-gal, is a hydrolase enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of B Beta-galactosides into monosaccharides. This Streptavidin is conjugated to beta galactosidase.

- Specificity:
- This product was prepared from electrophoretically pure Streptavidin. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-beta galactosidase (E.coli) and anti-Streptavidin. No reaction was observed against anti-Avidin.
