- Human IgM (myeloma) Fc5u fragment Rhodamine conjugate consists of only the u (mu) chain of the Fc fragment. Immunoglobulin M is the largest antibody isotype and the first to be secreted against an initial exposure to antigen. IgM is predominantly produced in the spleen. IgM is formed from covalently linking 5 immunoglobulins together. Due to this large size, IgM is typically isolated to the serum.

- This product was prepared from normal serum by delipidation, salt fractionation and ion change chromatography followed by trypsin digestion and extensive dialysis against the buffer stated above. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Rhodamine, anti-Human IgM Fc5u and anti-Human Serum. No reaction was observed against anti-Human IgG F(ab')2 or anti-Trypsin
