Regulates remodeling of the extracellular matrix by up-regulation of the collagenases MMP1; MMP2 and MMP13; and thereby facilitates cell migration and tumor cell invasion. Promotes fibroblast migration and proliferation; and thereby contributes to cutaneous wound healing.
