- AGPAT2 is a member of the 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase family. The protein is located within the endoplasmic reticulum membrane and converts lysophosphatidic acid to phosphatidic acid; the second step in de novo phospholipid biosynthesis.
