- Extra Details:
- VECTABOND[TM] Reagent (SP-1800) is designed to significantly increase the adherence of both frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue sections and cell preparations to glass slides and coverslips. Tissue sections will remain attached even when subjected to the most extreme conditions, such as high temperature antigen unmasking techniques and In-situ Hybridization. VECTABOND[TM] Reagent treated slides can be stored for long periods. This product chemically modifies the glass to form a highly adherent surface. VECTABOND[TM] Reagent is provided as 7 ml of concentrate that dilutes to 350 ml of treatment solution, sufficient for at least 500 standard slides.

- How long can I store VECTABOND working solution once diluted in acetone?:
- VECTABOND Reagent is supplied as a 7 ml concentrate that is diluted in acetone immediately prior to use. Once diluted in acetone, as per the instructions for use, it is recommended that the working solution be used as soon as possible. Storage of this working solution is not practical beyond a few hours as the chemicals will start to break down and the solution will turn a yellowish colour. Once this has happened, slide coating will not be optimal and the working solution should be discarded.
