- Upstream stimulatory factor 1 (UFS-1) is a 33.5kD nuclear protein that exhibits site-specific DNA binding activating the transcription through pyrimidine-rich initiator (Inr) elements and E-box motifs. USF-1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper family and can function as a cellular transcription factor.This protein has been associated to familial combined hyperlipidemia. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:250 Western Blot: 1:500 Immunocytochemistry: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
