- Extra Details:
- UCHL1 is a thiol protease that catalyzes the hydrolysis of C-terminal of ubiquityl esters and amides to generate ubiquitin monomer. It also binds to free monomer and may prevent its degradation by lysosomes. It is expressed in neurons and cells of the diffuse neuroendocrine system and their tumors. UCHL1 oxidation has been observed in brains of patiens with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
