- Extra Details:
- Thioredoxin (Trx) is a low molecular weight redox protein. Trx contains a redox active disulfide/dithiol group within the conserved Cys-Gly-Pro-Cys active site. It is involved in the first unique step in DNA synthesis. Trx also provides control over a number of transcription factors affecting cell proliferation and death through a mechanism referred to as redox regulation. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-105 of human thioredoxin-1 expressed in E. coli. Accession: NP_003320. Amino Acid Sequence: MVKQIESKTA FQEALDAAGD KLVVVDFSAT WCGPCKMIKP FFHSLSEKYS NVIFLEVDVD DCQDVASECE VKCMPTFQFF KKGQKVGEFS GANKEKLEAT INELV Specific Activity: ~150 A650/cm/min/mg, obtained by measuring the increase of insulin precipitation in absorbance at 650nm resulting from the reduction of insulin. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
