- Extra Details:
- SALM2 (synaptic adhesion-like molecule 2), is a 105kD member of the LRFN family of type I transmembrane glycoproteins. The 740aa mature human SALM2 contains a 505aa extracellular domain that includes seven leucine-rich repeats (LRR), an IgC2-like domain, and a fibronectin type-III domain. Mature human SALM2 shares 99% aa identity with mouse and rat SALM2. SALM2 colocalizes with both pre- and post-synaptic proteins at excitatory synapses in mature neurons and promotes neurite outgrowth. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml for immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human cerebellum Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
