- Extra Details:
- Protein Kinase C (PKC), one of the most important proteins in signal transduction is involved with cell proliferation, differentiation and function. PKC is a family of Ca++ phosphatidylserine dependent, serine/threonine kinases with 12 known isozyme members (a, bI, bII, g, d, e, z, h, q, l, m, i). PKC isozyme expression and distribution varies at both the tissue and intracellular levels. PKC is activated by diacylglycerol. PKC functions are dependent on isozyme type and location. PKC g (gamma, PKC type I) has a MW of 78kD. It is found predominantly in the brain and spinal cord. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, ELISA and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: For Immunohistochemistry and Western blotting using alkaline phosphatase or HRP, a dilution of 1:250 is recommended. With a more sensitive detection system, such as enhanced chemiluminescence or ELISA, the antibody may be diluted further. Optimum dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
