- Extra Details:
- Protein Kinase C (PKC), one of the most important proteins in signal transduction is involved with cell proliferation, differentiation and function. PKC is a family of Ca++ phosphatidylserine dependent, serine/threonine kinases with 12 known isozyme members (a, bI, bII, g, d, e, z, h, q, l, m, i). PKC isozyme expression and distribution varies at both the tissue and intracellular levels. PKC is activated by diacylglycerol. PKC functions are dependent on isozyme type and location. PKC g (gamma, PKC type I) has a MW of 78kD. It is found predominantly in the brain and spinal cord. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:100 Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Sequence: 681 V-H-P-D-A-R-S-P-I-S-P-T-P-V-P-V-M 697 Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C.
