- Extra Details:
- PRDM14 (PR [PRDI-BF1 and RIZ] domain containing protein 14) is a 64kD (predicted) member of the PR Domain family of proteins. It is expressed in embryonic stem cells and multiple tumor cell types. PRDM14 likely demonstrates histone methyltransferase activity, serving as a transcriptional repressor. It is suggested to block cell differentiation and maintain cell self-renewal, but also be necessary for germ cell lineage commitment. Human PRDM14 is 571aa in length. It contains one SET domain (aa253-371) followed by six C2H2 type Zn finger motifs (aa400-568). Over aa1-201, human PRDM14 shares only 46% aa identity with mouse PRDM14. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
