About this Product
- SKU:
- P4350-10A
- Extra Details:
- Purine Nucleoside Phosphorylase (PNP) catalyzes the phophorolysis of N-ribosidic bonds of purine nucleosides and deoxynucleosides. Physiological substrates of PNP include inosine, guanosine, and 2'-deoxyguanosine, but not adenosine (1). PNP is expressed in most tissues, with markedly greater expression in lymphoid tissues. Genetic deficiencies of PNP result in severely compromised T-lymphocyte function and neurologic dysfunction (2, 3). PNP is used in assays for the measurement of inorganic phosphate (4). Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-289 from human PNP, fused with 6-His tag at C-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~33kD Endotoxin Level: ≤1EU/1ug (LAL) Biological Activity: Measured by the phosphorolysis of 7-methyl-6-thioguanosine. The specific activity is >35,000 pmoles/min/ug, as measured under the described conditions. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
