- Recommended for use in Thermophilus and Enterobacteriaceae growth media. Dust-Free: Specially milled powder blends are designed to eliminate or greatly reduce airborne particulates. Homogeneous: Proprietary blending technology ensures complete mixing of components Appearance: Light tan to beige, homogeneous, free flowing powder Solubility (2%): Light yellow, clear, complete pH (2%): 7.0 ± 0.5 Formulation: An equal blend of the following peptones: Pancreatic Digest of Casein (Tryptone) Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue (Meat Peptone) Certificate of Origin: The raw animal products used in the manufacturing of Peptone P (Polypeptone) were derived from materials originating in New Zealand or USA. During processing of the product, a batch is heated at 80°C for at least 1 hour including a minimum of 105°C for at least 5 minutes The product is dried at a minumim of 140°C. The pH of digestion was carried out at 5.5 or lower.
