- Osteopontin (OPN), secreted phosphoprotein 1 (Spp1) and bone sialoprotein 1, is a secreted acidic phosphorylated glycoprotein originally isolated from bone matrix. It has been shown to bind to different cell types through interactions with various integrins and CD44 variants. It has important functions in bone metabolism and inflammatory processes. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: 10ul labels 1x10e6 U937 human histiocytic lymphoma cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: NSO myeloma cells with B cells from Balb/c mice. Absorption: 488nm Emission: 565-605nm Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
