- Extra Details:
- N-Myc is a 49.5kD nuclear phosphoprotein that contains a basic helix-loop-helix leucine zipper domain involved in DNA binding and protein dimerization. It regulates gene expression by dimerizing with itself or other helix-loop-helix proteins and this complex binds to DNA E-box sequences of regulated genes. N-Myc is expressed in high levels during embryonic development and in the adult during B-cell differentiation. It is overexpressed in a variety of tumors, aminly neuroblastomas and is associated with rapid progression and poor prognosis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:500 Western Blot: 1:500 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
