About this Product
SKU:
N2177-23
Clonality:
Polyclonal
Extra Details:
NTR1, a Neurotensin Receptor, activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system in the central and peripheral nervous systems. It mediates the functions of neurotensin, such as hypotension, hyperglycemia, hypothermia, antinociception, and regulation of intestinal motility and secretion. Neurotensin Receptor 1 expression is enhanced in pancreatic cancer and in chronic pancreatitis (Wang et al, 2000). Two differentially glycosylated forms of the NT1 receptor have been identified in rats, a 54kD form that is expressed from birth to adulthood, and a 52kD form only detected at 10 and 15 days postnatal. NTR1 has been reported in brain, pancreas, and small intestine. ESTs have been isolated from brain and colon libraries Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000 ELISA: 1:100,000. Use 50-100ng control peptide/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Control Peptide: N2177-22: Neurotensin Receptor 1, Human (NTR1) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
