- The antibody represents an excellent marker for non-keratinized squamous epithelia and proliferating cells of epidermis (e.g. within psoriatic lesions). It is suitable for discrimination of keratinizing and non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma versus e.g. poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: Reacts with Mr 56,000 polypeptide of Keratin 6 of human squamous epithelia. Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:5-1:50 (1-10ug/ml) Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 1:5-1:50 (1-10ug/ml), microwave treatment recommended Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Tissues and tumors specifically detected: Suitable for discrimination of keratinizing and non-keratinizing squamous cell carcinoma versus e.g. poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
