- ISLR2 (Ig-superfamily containing LRR protein 2; also SST273) is a 100-110kD member of the LRR family of proteins. It is expressed on developing motor, sensory and interneurons. Mouse ISLR2 is 745 amino acids (aa) in length. It is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that contains a 571 aa extracellular domain (ECD) and a 132 aa cytoplasmic region. The ECD shows multiple LRRs (aa 21-231) and one Ig-like domain (aa 251-374). Mouse ISLR2 apparently has one alternate start site at Met130. Over aa 20-590, mouse ISLR2 is 89% and 98% aa identical to human and rat ISLR2, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.1ug/ml using lysates of NIH-3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line and EL-4 mouse lymphoblast cell line Immunohistochemistry: 5-15ug/ml in immersion fixed frozen sections of embryonic mouse brainstem (13 d.p.c.) Immunocytochemistry: 5-15ug/ml. Immersion fixed mouse embryonic retina cells (E15) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
