- Extra Details:
- Mature human IL-20 is a 152 aa unglycosylated protein of the IL-10 family of helical cytokines. Unlike IL-10, IL-20 functions as a monomer. Mature human and mouse IL-20 share 77% aa identity. IL-20 is produced in skin and trachea by activated keratinocytes and possibly by monocytes. IL-20 binds the IL-20 Ra-alpha/b-beta and the IL-22 R/IL-20 Rb-beta receptor complexes. IL-20 promotes the release of proinflammatory mediators in keratinocytes and is overexpressed in plaque-type psoriasis. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: coating concentration range is 2-8ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
