- Applications: ELISA Capture: Purified monoclonal antibody is the preferred capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA for quantifying human IL-3 protein levels.1-3 The purified antibody should be paired with biotinylated antibody as the detection antibody, with purified recombinant human IL-3 as the standard. Western Blotting: The purified antibody is also useful for Western blotting applications. A concentration of 1-5ug/ml (in conjunction with AP-labeled Goat Anti-Rat-Ig) has been found to enable detection of ≤ 100ng/lane of recombinant human IL-3 under reducing conditions. Neutralization: The LE/AF form of this antibody can be used for neutralizing human IL-3 bioactivity. A suitable LE/AF Rat IgG1 should be used as an isotype control. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
