- Extra Details:
- Interleukin-3 is a pleiotrophic factor produced primarily by activated T cells that can stimulate the proliferation and differentiation of pluripotent hematopoietic stem cells as well as various lineage committed progenitors. IL-3 exerts its biological activities via a heterodimeric receptor composed of an IL-3 specific a chain and common b chain that is shared with the IL-5 and GM-CSF high-affinity receptors. Receptors for IL-3 are present on bone marrow progenitors, and several mature myeloid cell types. Mature canine IL-3 shares 40% aa sequence identity with IL-3 of other mammals. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunocytochemistry: 20-30ug/ml using immersion fixed canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
