IGF-1 stimulates the proliferation of a range of cell types including bone, cartilage tissue and muscle. Applications: Suitable for use in Neutralization, RIA, ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml using 100ul/well will detect at least 2000-4000pg/ml of recombinant mouse IGF1 when used with a biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-mouse IGF1 as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.2-0.4ug/ml. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml when used with compatible secondary regeants. Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition-[ND50]-of the biological activity of mouse IGF-I (200ng/ml), a concentration of 12-14ug/ml of this antibody is required. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Reagents: Donkey anti sheep/goat IgG: HRP conjugate Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
