- Extra Details:
- IGSF3 (immunoglobulin superfamily member 3; also EWI-3) is a member of the EWI subfamily of the Ig-Superfamily of molecules. It is a type I transmembrane protein that likely exists as a homodimer in kidney and lung. The mature molecule is 1195 amino acids (aa) in length, and contains an extended 1127 aa extracellular domain (ECD) (aa 20-1146). There are seven ECD V-type Ig-like domains, the second of which exhibits a characteristic Glu-Trp-Ile motif. There are at least two potential splice variants. One shows a truncation after Pro833; a second shows a deletion of aa 408-427. Over aa 20-1125, human IGSF3 shares 92% aa identity with mouse IGSF3. Applications: Suitable for use in Direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Direct ELISA: 0.5-1.0ug/ml detection limit for rhIGSF3 is~ 1ng/well. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detection limit for rhIGSF3 is ~ 2ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
