- Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is the primary cause of non-A, non-B hepatitis and results in most HCV-infected people developing chronic infections, liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. The 21kD core protein of HCV is well conserved among different HCV genotypes and may suppress hepatitis B virus replication in a phosphorylation dependent manner. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
