- Granulocyte colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a 19.6kD haematopoietic growth factor and member of the CSF family of hormone-like glycoproteins, which stimulates the development of bone marrow progenitor cells and in particular those committed to neutrophil lineage. The ability of G-CSF to stimulate the proliferation/differentiation and function of neutrophil granulocyte progenitor cells and survival of mature neutrophils, has resulted in G-CSF becoming an important factor in patient treatment following allogeneic (bone marrow/stem cell) transplantation and chemotherapy. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (Sandwich): 0.5-2ug/ml. (100ul/well) will detect at least 2000-4000pg/well of recombinant human G-CSF when used with G8950-26 as the capture antibody. Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hG-CSF is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS, 0.1% BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
