- Extra Details:
- Ly-6G, formerly known as the myeloid differentiation antigen Gr-1, is a GPI-anchored protein.1 In the bone marrow, the level of antigen expression is directly correlated with granulocyte differentiation and maturation. It is also transiently expressed on monocytes in the bone marrow.2 In the periphery, Ly-6G is expressed predominantly on neutrophils.3, 4 Applications: • Flow cytometry 1-4 • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) 5 • Immunoprecipitation 1 • Western blotting 6 • In vitro complement-dependent cytotoxicity assays 7 • In vivo depletion of Ly-6G+ cells 8-12 Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.2ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
