- GFP is an intermediate filament. GFP and vimentin are linked to the same filament network; they are localized in the same filaments. mRNAs encoding the glial intermediate filament protein are spatially dispersed in the glial cell cytoplasm close to the location of the glial filaments. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunofluorescence microscopy and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue and cytological material). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: 1:10 with PBS, pH 7.4; Incubation Time 1 hr at RT, extended with paraffin. Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
