About this Product

Extra Details:
The majority of secreted and membrane proteins are glycosylated (1, 2) . Proper glycosylation might be critical for protein folding and biological functions (3, 4). Galactoside is an essential sugar commonly found on various glycan conjugates and galactosidases are among the earliest enzymes to be studied (5). β13 Galactosidase from Xanthomanas capestris is a useful tool for removing β13 linked galactosides from the nonreducing terminus of glycoconjugates ( 6, 7). Source: E. coli-derived Ser25 Glu613 with an N-terminal Met and 6 His tag, Accession # NP_638243 N-terminal Sequence Analysis: Met Predicted Molecular Mass: 67kD (monomer) SDSP-AGE: 63kD, reducing conditions Activity: Measured by its ability to cleave a fluorogenic substrate, 4-MethylumbelliferylβDgalactopyranoside. The specific activity is ≥ 14,000 pmol/min/ug, as measured under the described conditions. Endotoxin: ≤1.0 EU per 1ug of the protein by the LAL method. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: 12 months from date of receipt, -20 to -70°C as supplied. 1 month, 4°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. 3 months, -20 to -70°C under sterile conditions after reconstitution. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
