- Extra Details:
- FoxO1, is a 655aa, 70kD, ubiquitously expressed member of the forkhead box O family of winged helix transcription factors. In neurons, it is activated in response to stress, translocating to the nucleus where it promotes apoptosis and blocks proliferation. In insulin-responsive tissues, nutrient abundance triggers phosphorylation by AKT that blocks nuclear translocation and activity. A 60kD form, cleaved at R537, has been found in androgen-treated prostate cancer cells. Over aa353-655, human FoxO1 shares 93aa identity with mouse and rat FoxO1. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
