- Extra Details:
- SENPP-7 (ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase 7), also known as alkaline sphingomyelinase (Alk-SMase)is a 60kD GPI-linked membrane glycoprotein expressed in the intestines and in human bile. It shares 30%-36% homology with the NPP family, but is unrelated to neutral or acid SMase. ENPP-7 hydrolyzes dietary sphingomyelin to form ceramide and phosphorylcholine, and may also hydrolyze and inactivate platelet-activating factor (PAF). It is downregulated in some human colorectal carcinomas. The 416aa mature human ENPP-7 shares 80% and 82% aa identity with mouse and rat ENPP-7, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
