- Extra Details:
- Cyclin E is a cell cycle protein, 50kD, that complexes with cdk2 and is required for DNA synthesis. Cyclin E/cdk2 activity peaks just before S phase. Cyclin E expression is mediated by E2F and is cleared by the ubiquitin proteolytic pathway after phosphorylation. Alterations in cyclin E expression in cancer has been correlated with increasing stage and grade of tumor. These results suggest that cyclin E may be useful as a prognostic marker for breast cancer and gastric cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunofluorescence/Immunocytochemistry and Gel Mobility Shift Assay. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 1ug/IP Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
