- Extra Details:
- JAB1 (Jun activation domain binding protein-1), also called COPS5 or CSN5 (COP9 signalosome-5), is a 334aa, 38kD protein that is a subunit of the COP9 signalosome complex. It mediates cytosolic translocation of the cell cycle inhibitory protein, CDKN1B/p27Kip1, for degradation, thus promoting proliferation. It is widely expressed, especially in proliferating cells and up-regulates granulopoiesis when overexpressed. Within the region used as an immunogen, human JAB1 shares 99% aa identity with mouse and rat JAB1. A 379aa isoform contains 93 alternate aa in place of the N-terminal 48aa of the 334aa form. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
