Complement is part of the innate immune system that is not adaptable and does not change over the course of an individual's lifetime. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
