Monoclonal
Extra Details:
Clostridium botulinum neurotoxins are zinc-dependent proteases that block the release of acetylcholine from peripheral cholinergic nerve endings by targeting specific membrane proteins including synaptosomal-associated proteins (SNAP), vesicle-associated membrane proteins (VAMP), and syntaxins. Neurotoxin A is characteristically associated with human botulism and known to target and hydrolyse the 197-Gln-Arg-198 bond of SNAP-25. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, RIA and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Indirect Immunocytochemistry: 1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: C5851-40D1; Clostridium botulinum A Toxoid (aa1280-1292). Prior incubation of the antibody with the control peptide has been shown to eliminate the inhibition of cellular binding by the antibody. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
