- Extra Details:
- Chemerin, also known as TIG2, is a distant member of the cystatin superfamily. The Chemerin precursor is cleaved by multiple serine proteases at various sites near the C-terminus. Mature active Chemerin is a 15-16kD heparin binding protein that induces immature dendritic cell and macrophage chemotaxis through interactions with ChemR23. Mature mouse Chemerin shares 63% and 73% aa sequence identity with human and rat Chemerin, respectively. There is apparently cross-species activity for the protein. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA (capture): 2-8ug/ml to be used with in combination with detection reagent C3890-01A Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
