Extra Details:
CD68 is a 110 kD glycoprotein, known as macrosialin, belongs to sialomucin family and is closely related to the family of acidic, highly glycosylated lysosomal-associated membrane proteins (lamps). CD68 is predominately expressed in cytoplasmic granules of monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and granulocytes. It is one of the useful myeloid cell markers. Further studies have shown that CD68 is also expressed by a subset of hematopoietic progenitors, gamma/delta T cells, NK cells, LAK cells, subset of B cells, fibroblasts, and endothelial cells. The biological function of CD68 is still unknown. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: ≤0.125ug/10e6 in 100ul Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections. Does not work with Formalin fixed, paraffin embedded tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
