- Extra Details:
- CD45 is the common leukocyte antigen and is expressed on all cells of hematopoietic origin except erythrocytes.1-4 CD45 exists as a number of different isoforms which result from alternative RNA splicing of exons 4, 5 and 6. The CD45 molecule has been implicated as playing a key role in thymic development and in antigen-driven proliferation of T cells.4 Applications: • Flow cytometry 2, 3 • Immunoprecipitation 1, 3 • Radiometric quantitation of CD45 molecules on cell surfaces 1 • Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections) Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: ≤ 0.2ug/10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20°C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
