- Extra Details:
- CD14 is a 55kD GPI-linked cell surface glycoprotein that is preferentially expressed on monocytes/macrophages. It is a pattern recognition protein that acts as a receptor for lipopolysaccharide (LPS) and other microbial cell wall components. CD14 also occurs as a secreted protein. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Flow Cytometry and Direct ELISA. Other applications have not been tested Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1-2ug/ml. The detection limit is ~25ng/lane under non-reducing and reducing conditions. Flow Cytometry: 25ug/ml. Add 10ul to 1-2.5x10e5 cells in a total reaction volume not exceeding 200ul. Direct ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. The detection limit is~1ng/well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
