- BRCA1-interacting protein 1 (BRIP1), also known as Fanconi anemia complementation group J protein (FANCJ) and BACH1, is a 130kD ubiquitously expressed DNA helicase. BRIP1 binds to the BRCT domain of BRCA1 and regulates BRCA1 dependent DNA repair and cell cycle checkpoint control. It is mutated in patients with Fanconi anemia, a disorder characterized by chromosomal instability and increased risk of developing cancer. Within aa1-160, human BRIP1 shares 78-74aa sequence identity with mouse and rat BRIP1, respectively. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 8-25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
