- Extra Details:
- BCMA is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. It binds to BAFF and APRIL. BCMA is expressed on mature B-cells and other B-cell lines. It plays an important role in B cell development, function and regulation. BCMA also has the capability to activate NF-kappaB and JNK. The human BCMA gene codes for a 184aa type I transmembrane protein, which contains a 54aa extracellular domain, a 23aa transmembrane domain, and a 107aa extracellular domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot and Functional Applications. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Functional Application: Blocks binding of BAFF to mouse BCMA. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
