- Extra Details:
- DDC (EC 1.1.128) belongs to the family group II Decarboxylase (DDC, GAD, HDC and TYRD). DDC catalyzes the formation of tryptamine from L-tyrosine. It also acts on 5-hydroxy-LO-tryptophan and dihydroxy-L-Phenylalanine (DOPA). Human DDC (480 aa, chromosome 7p11) is a homodimer in the native state. It requires pyridoxal phosphate as a cofactor. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:50,000 using 1ug/ml control peptide per well. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
