- Extra Details:
- Aquaporin 1 is a 28kD integral membrane protein which was originally identified in red blood cells and renal proximal tubules. AQP1 is also expressed by the choroid plexus and various other tissues. The glycosylated forms of AQP1 range between 40-60kD in mass. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:1000-1:10,000 Western Blot: 1:1000-1:2000 Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose. Optimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/0-AG14. myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
