- Apo A-I is a major protein of plasma HDL. It participates in the reverse transport of cholesterol from tissues to the liver for excretion. Apo A-I is a cofactor for LCAT, which is responsible for the formation of most plasma cholesteryl esters. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA and RIA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Affinity Constant: 1x10e7L/mole (Determined by RIA followed by Scatchard Plot analysis. Source: Ascites Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Allophycocyanin (APC) is light sensitive. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
