Extra Details:
IgE is an immunoglobulin primarily produced from plasma cells and in normal serum, present at very low concentrations. IgE is important in both type 1 hypersensitivity and immunity to parasite infections, in particular parasitic worms where equine IgE levels are significantly elevated following infection. Monoclonal antibodies to equine IgE are of particular relevance to research into insect bite sensitivity, one of the most widely studied allergic diseases in equid species (Schaffartzik, A. et al. 2012). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:500-1:5000 as a detection reagent in with 553813 as the capture reagent. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse P3X myeloma cell line. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
