- Extra Details:
- Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a small virus which infects humans and some other primate species. AAV is not currently known to cause disease and consequently the virus causes a very mild immune response. AAV can infect both dividing and non-dividing cells and may incorporate its genome into that of the host cell. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence and Dot Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: The ADK1a antibody is used as capture and detection antibody in the AAV1 Titration ELISA (PRAAV1). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
- Host:
- Mouse
- Immunogen:
- AAV1 capsids
- Isotype:
- IgG2a
- Physical State:
- Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Reconstitute in 1ml dist. water (final solution contains 0.09% sodium azide, 0.5% BSA in PBS buffer, pH 7.4)

- Specificity:
- Specifically detects AAV1 intact virus particles, both empty and full capsids. Recognizes a conformational epitope of assembled capsids, not present in denatured and native unassembled capsid proteins. In immunofluorescence and Dot Blot analysis, a week cross-reactivity was observed with AAV6 and AAV12. No reaction with other AAV types. Cross-reactivity: AAV1, AAV6, AAV12
