- Inhibitory receptor acting as a major negative regulator of T-cell responses. The affinity of CTLA4 for its natural B7 family ligands, CD80 and CD86, is considerably stronger than the affinity of their cognate stimulatory coreceptor CD28. Partial recombinant protein corresponding to aa37-161 of mouse Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte Protein 4, fused to 6X His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in mammalian cell. Molecular Weight: ~14.6kD Biological Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA the ED50 of recombinant mouse CTLA-4-His is 2-10ng/ml. Immobilized mouse B7-1-Fc at 5ug/ml can bind mouse CTLA-4-His. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
