- MAP2K1, is a member of the bispecific protein kinase family, which acts as a mitogen-activated protein (MAP) kinase. It is expressed extensively and brain levels are very low. It is located upstream of the MAP kinase and stimulates the enzymatic activity of MAP kinases on a variety of extra-and-cellular signals. This protein, an essential component of the MAP kinase signaling pathway, is involved in many cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, transcriptional regulation and development. Recombinant human MAP2K1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-393 of human MAP2K1, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~44.5kD (402aa), ~40-57kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions) Endotoxin: <1EU/1ug (determined by LAL method) Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
