- Extra Details:
- IL6, as known as Interleukin-6, is a phosphorylated and variably glycosylated cytokine. It is secreted by T cells and macrophages to stimulate immune response during infection and after trauma, especially burns or other tissue damage leading to inflammation. Also, this protein can function as an anti-inflammatory molecule, as in skeletal muscle where it is secreted in response to exercise. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa24-188 from canine IL6, fused to His-Tag at C terminal, expressed in insect cell. Molecular Weight: ~22kD (195aa), 18-28kD (SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.)
